With the Friendly Phone Service, you’re not alone!
By having this service, a person on their own feels more secure knowing someone is checking on them daily and it helps to ease concerns of friends and family who may not be able to call every day.
The phone service was started in the spring of 1994 with a small group of volunteers naming, organizing and registering of clients. We started phoning clients in September and have grown over the years.
This is volunteer service from the Port Alberni Sunshine Club with the cooperation of the RCMP.
